Favourite Aspects of WiB:
My favourite aspect of WiB is the opportunity. I joined WiB in my second year of university and at this time, I had zero exposure to the professional world. Being in this position, the idea of searching for a corporate job, using LinkedIn, and knowing how to network felt quite foreign and intimidating. However, WiB really broke down this barrier for me. I love our events because they provide the perfect opportunity to meet new people and give students a taste of the professional world in a welcoming and relaxed environment. So whether it is the opportunity to gain and refine skills, meet sponsors or to simply connect and regularly be a part of a community, WiB mades university life so much more dynamic and interesting. For me, WiB has especially given me the opportunity to meet some of my favourite people and the enjoyment of working alongside my friends.

Career Aspirations:
I am not entirely sure yet, but I would want an element of creativity in my work. So, I see myself either working as in-house lawyer in the creative and entertainment industry, pursuing journalism, or eventually down the line, opening a cafe.

Female Role Model:
I really look up to Amelia Dimoldenberg. She is a comedian and presenter and known for her Chicken Shop Date interviews. She started the concept as a magazine column in university and many of her professor’s didn’t quite understand the concept. Funnily enough, she is now one of the most famous and loved interviewers today because of her personality and unconventional and creative interview format. Her journey and consistency is a reminder that ‘success’ looks different to everyone. Success comes about when you bring your most authentic self to the table and are convicted in your ideas and vision, rather than following the norm and doing what others expect of you..

Fun Facts:
I lived in Hong Kong for eights years!
