Favourite Aspects of WiB:

Before joining WiB, I felt lost in my journey in the business industry, especially as a young woman. I was unaware of the different types of jobs there were, how to be present in a professional manner and how to better put myself out there in order to obtain jobs and connections. I am so grateful I was able to gain the opportunity to be part of a subcommittee who clicked instantly and was able to contribute in organising events that involved work that wasn’t daunting but something to look forward to and through these events be able to gradually learn to network and put myself out there through learning from other individuals. I also love the engagement WiB had with our sponsors in which we were able to have events such as “Next Gen” and “The Mentoring Program”, which I was able to gain such amazing insight and knowledge of the business industry though business industry reps and a more clear understanding of my career paths; something 2023 me would have never expected to have happened if I had not taken the chance to apply for WiB even after the closing of applications.

Career Aspirations:

I hope that in the future I am in a career in which I enjoy going to everyday, where it involves me thinking creatively as well as working collaboratively with other people. I would love to work in the beauty or fashion industry as it's always something I've aspired to do since I was a young girl, so it would be great to fulfil the wishes of pre-teen Sasha!

Female Role Model:

My female role model would be the Wizard Liz. She is a YouTuber that I began to watch when I was somewhat in the lowest times of my life, but through her experiences she shared of her hardships and how she got herself to be as successful as she is now, I felt inspired to better work on myself and my life, through shifting my mentality of both my life and myself to be more ambitious and positive.

Fun Facts:

I enjoy trying new hobbies once-in-a-while, especially hobbies that are creative or active. So far, I have been quite successful in crocheting, as I have crocheted multiple clothing items, some of which I have worn to concerts! As for hobbies that involve being active, I have been quite committed to going to pilates and have enjoyed it very much!
